Terms & Conditions
1. How to enter
1.1 To enter the SISP STEM Awards all applicants must read and understand the terms and conditions and complete the on-line entry form for your chosen SISP region and award category.
1.2 All submissions are to be lodged via the SISP STEM Awards website.
1.3 By lodging your submission, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Entry.
1.4 Instructions on how to enter the Awards as set out on SISP Region information pages on this website form part of these Terms.
1.5 Your entry must be submitted by the time set out on the SISP Region information page.
1.6 The SISP STEM Awards regional project teams reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.
2. Entry Eligibility
2.1. Entrants into SISP STEM Awards must meet the entry eligibility criteria set out on SISP Region information page.
3. Entry requirements
3.1 All entries must be lodged online.
3.2 The SISP STEM Awards regional project team reserves the right to declare any entry ineligible or disqualified if (in our opinion):
a)During the award process the entry is incomplete or deficient, provided unlawfully, false or misleading in any way; or
b) You or your school have not complied with these Terms, the Guidelines or Entry Eligibility Criteria.
3.3 If you, your school,:
a) Is illegal or fraudulent;
b) May harm us, our name or reputation; or
c) Breaches these Terms,
we may, at our discretion, withdraw any award and associated prizes that you have received. If requested by us, you agree to no longer publicly promote yourself, your business or school as being associated with the Awards, us or the sponsors. This clause survives the expiration of these Terms.
3.4 All entries must make arrangements to be available and attend the Regional Award ceremonies and associated events including judging days (if any), as determined by us at our sole discretion.
4. Opening Dates
4.1 Refer to the Key Award Dates on the respective SISP Region information page on this website for entry opening dates.
4.2 The SISP STEM Awards regional project team reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.
5. Closing Dates
5.1 Refer to the Key Award Dates page on the website for entry closing dates.
5.2 The SISP STEM Awards regional project teams reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.
6. Confidentiality, Privacy & IP
6.1. Subject to clause 6.2, all information provided in each entry will be used for the purpose of judging only and will be treated as commercial-in-confidence by the SISP STEM Awards regional project teams.
6.2. If you are selected as a Regional Finalist, information provided in the entry will be used for the purpose of promoting the Awards and your entry.
6.3. As part of the awards judging process, we collect personal information (as defined under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) and other information relating to your entry in various ways, such as in the Awards entry form, on judging days, in your video, and in speeches and interactions with the support team and SISP STEM Awards regional project teams to administer the awards and, where appropriate, award prizes. If you do not provide the personal information requested, you cannot participate in the Awards.
7.1 All entries are judged by a panel of subject matter experts, industry or business professionals selected at the sole discretion of SISP STEM Awards regional project team.
7.2 The judges’ decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into after a decision is made. We do not provide feedback on entries.
8. Announcing the finalists and winners
8.1 Winners will be announced at the Regional Award Ceremony.
10.1 We accept no responsibility for entries not received by us for any reason.
10.2 In our sole discretion, we have the right to alter or cancel part or all of the Awards at any time.
10.3 We are not liable for and you indemnify us from and against any liability, loss, injury or damage which arises directly or indirectly from the Awards including the breach of these Terms or any third party intellectual property rights.
